Wag-N-Ride LLC is a Licensed and Insured pet care business. We offer dog walking, drop-in visits, overnights and a pet taxi. My team and I operate as pet care professionals; we can customize each service to fit the needs of your pet. We operate in Mountain Brook, Vestavia, Homewood and Hoover.

My name is Anna Banasiewicz, and I am the founder/owner/operator of Wag-N-Ride. I started this business, Jan 2022. I have 10+ years of experience working with dogs and cats, but a lifetime of experience working with animals. I started my journey with animals when I was 8 years old, spending all my free time at the barn learning everything there was to know about horses. In high school I got a job at the stable I was riding at and spent all my afternoons and weekends caring for a herd of 30 horses. I was in charge of all the upkeep of these magnificent animals. When I graduated high school, I thought college was the next step. I went to UAB for a year and knew in my heart this was not the path for me. I happened on a vet clinic looking to hire; I walked in applied and got hired same day. I spent 4 to 5 years in the vet world and was taking on some dog walking and pet sitting to earn some extra money. One day I thought why don't I do this as a career? In 2017, Bone Appetit was born. This was a dog walking, pet sitting and in-home boarding business. I had a good run for 3 years, but due to some personal life changes I had to close down at the end of 2020. I went back to the vet world in 2021 but knew owning a pet care business was what I was meant to do. At the end of 2021, I came up with the idea of a pet taxi. In Jan of 2022 I opened Wag-N-Ride. The thing about business is you constantly have to change in the direction of the needs of your clients, and so dog walking and pet sitting became a huge part of this business.
